The School successfully hosted the Annual Workshop on Empirical Political Studies in Hong Kong (EPSinHK) and the Chinese Text as Data Conference 2026, demonstrating its commitment to fostering collaboration among local and international scholars.

Held on 20 May and from 21 to 22 May respectively at the CUHK campus, the events provided engaging platforms for in-depth discussions and constructive feedback on cutting-edge social science research.

The EPSinHK Workshop brought together scholars from the Greater Bay Area to present and exchange ideas on key issues in Chinese political science. Meanwhile, the Chinese Text as Data Conference convened a multi-disciplinary group of scholars from around the world to share insights and explore the transformative impact of computational methods and Artificial Intelligence on Chinese text analysis.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participating scholars for their valuable contributions in making these events engaging and meaningful. We look forward to organizing more events of this kind in the future.
